Taipei, Taiwan – CTC Union Technologies, a leading designer and manufacturer of telecommunications, data communications and industrial grade networking products, today launches new series of Optical Amplifiers Booster.

The FRM220-OAB21A, FRM220-OAB21, and FRM220-OAB15 are single channel optical amplifier/booster modules that provide multi-function, low noise, Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) solutions. The FRM220-OAB15 supports up to 15dBm output power and -10~0 input power range, while FRM220-OAB21A and FRM220-OAB21 support up to 21 dBm output power and input power -20~+5dBm / -10~+10dBm.

With rack management or RS-232 console interface, these cards support Automatic Gain Control (AGC), Automatic constant output Power Control (APC), and Automatic Constant Current (ACC). Their fast-transient suppression feature allowing the output power to be kept at a constant level when there are fast changes in input power. The EDFA series realize flexibility and high-speed transmission for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications.
